At the moment it’s frequent to experiment with animals
-they are specially rats or mice- before we try drugs with people, at though
lots of people are in favour or against that type of experiments.
The main argument is that if we use animals, we are
not killing anyone, because they are only rats, mice, rabbits… They are also
more manipulable.
At the other hand some people of NGOs are against it
because those kinds of methods kill lots of animals and they defend them.
To sum up, I’m in favour of using animals for medical
research because we can develop faster, and those animals are born to be
objects of study.
